Connecticut based company “Burning Birches Art LLC” is a concept that was developed by local artist Bob Raina. Through his studies at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Bob was able to learn advanced drawing techniques with a focus on gesture, value, and design. He is fluent in a variety of media, including digital, pyrography, ink and watercolor. Illustration, logo design, original character development and fine art are some of his specialties. His strong interests in the outdoors, music and cinema are some of the influences behind his works. Shortly after graduating from college, his comic work was recognized and published in the New York Times best selling book series “Chicken Soup for the Soul“. Along with his published works he went on to create and co-develop a children’s book app “There’s a Monster in my Tummy” which went on to become featured on Apple’s “What’s Hot” iTunes storefront. Bob is also the illustrator and co-writer of the published comic strip “NUTZ“, which was featured in Manchester, Connecticut’s the Journal Inquirer and most recently, he has completed illustrating his first independent comic book “Blood of The Twelve“. Currently, Burning Birches Art will be participating in a variety of local craft fairs and trade shows highlighting his fine art, pyrography and illustration art.
